As a design - build firm, our initial meeting with the client is typically a discussion of design ideas between the client, Nels and our in house designer, Josh Schafer.  Josh is a welcome addition to the Strandberg Construction team.  He has been designing homes for the Northwest lifestyle since 1997 and is a lifetime resident of Anacortes.  Josh has design experience in heavy timber, post and beam, and stick frame construction and has designed everything from small log coffee stands to multi-million dollar homes.

  The client’s design ideas have ranged from a sketch on a paper napkin to complete plans from an architect.  We work with the client to come up with a plan which will fit the clients’ needs and budget, and which will also be appropriate to the site and surrounding environment.  We pride ourselves on a high level of customer service and believe in spending as much time as necessary to produce a product that meets the client’s expectations.

Once a design is finalized, we send the plans out for bid, coordinate engineering requirements, and followed the permit process.  We work closely with the client to select finishes which will align with their vision as well as their budget.  Our firm manages the entire construction process from site development through final inspection and are always accessible for questions or concerns.
