Nels Strandberg, Owner, has worked as a general contractor since 1993 and has gained experience in single family custom and spec homes, as well as commercial retail and land development.  He earned a Bachelors degree in Finance from Western Washington University in 1995.  Nels learned the building trade while attending college and has worked his way from pounding nails to running a successful contracting business that has earned the respect of the surrounding community.

Nels is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Skagit Island County Builders Association (SICBA), the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Economic Development Association of Skagit County (EDASC).  He has worked with environmental groups in our area, namely Friends of the Forest, donating 17 acres to Anacortes Forest Lands in our Fir Crest Community.  He has also successfully reclaimed the Ace of Hearts Stream in our Cedar Springs Development. 

With his wife Lisa, a real estate agent with Windermere, Nels has collaborated on several developments in the Anacortes area.  Spinnaker Cove, Cedar Springs, Fir Crest, Stone Ridge and the most recent, Storvik Park Residence. 

Nels has incorporated several important aspects to his company including residential and commercial construction, excavation and design work, making Strandberg Construction a unique Anacortes construction company.
